Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25H Foundation with Comfort Serum | First Impressions | Beauty and Bits

Since this foundation has become one of my recent favourites, I thought I would share it on the blog today. The Lasting Finish 25H Foundation is an affordable drugstore foundation that comes in 7 different shades. I picked up the colour True Nude and it blends seamlessly into my skin. I really love it for many reasons but mainly because it is full coverage and comes with a pump. On two separate occasions, I applied it with an e.l.f. Powder Brush and a Beauty Blender. I found that with the beauty blender it gave me more of dewy finish. I have rather oily skin so this was not what I was interested in Unless you are looking for this look, I would recommend applying it with a foundation brush.

It claims that it is sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours. I personally never leave my makeup on for this long; but, it did last all day. I would recommend applying a primer beforehand for a flawless application. I have seen it available with SPF 20, but it was not mentioned on this particular bottle. I’m not sure if they’ve removed it completely, but hopefully I can find it with SPF because with Spring arriving soon, it will only help.

It also includes a comfort serum and it is designed to hydrate the skin and leave a lightweight finish. When I applied this foundation, it did not feel heavy especially for a full coverage foundation.

The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the fact that it only came in 7 shades. I am already on the darker end of the spectrum, so I am not sure this will work for the summer since I do tan quite easily.

Mid-week roundup ☀️ I've been keeping my make Mid-week roundup ☀️

I've been keeping my makeup pretty light the past couple of days. With the warmer weather, I tend to reach for lightweight products.

I've purchased this @lorealparis infallible pro-matte foundation so many times.

If you have oily skin, this is a great medium-buildable foundation that stays on longer. It doesn't settle into fine lines and keeps you matte all day. It's worth trying out. 👍

Lately, I've been using @garniercan
all-in-1 waterproof micellar cleansing water. I find that it breaks down stubborn long-wear makeup easily. This is especially good for eye makeup that can be difficult to remove. From there, I use my favourite cleanser.

Cleanser
Trying out the @beautybyzero_ca and I've been loving it so far. 100% natural vegan skincare that blends coconut oil, sweet almond oil and sacha inchi seed oil.

Eye cream
I've heard great things about the @cerave_canada eye repair cream and its ability to reduce puffiness and dark circles. This is a great drugstore option if you're in the market for an eye cream.

Moisturizer
Also from CeraVe - As someone who can have very dry skin, I've really enjoy how lightweight this is on the skin. A great drugstore option for face and body.

Gua Sha
Picked this up on Amazon and I've enjoyed adding this to my routine. Gua Sha benefits include stimulating circulation, producing collagen, softening fine lines and wrinkles and decreasing puffiness.
